Presentation
This month Brent gave a wonderful presentation on Brewing Water (how water can affect your brew).
His highlights included:
- benefits of filtered water
- how specific water characteristics benefit different styles of beer
- water minerals and their affects on taste
- brewing salts for adjusting water minerals and fine tuning taste
- tools and resources for measuring pH and alkalinity
- personal experience & pros and cons to consider for tooling and helpful resources
Brent has an excellent powerpoint with specifics for those that are interested in the details please reach out to the club. He also has a Brewing Water part 2 presentation that will dive deeper into these topics that we can explore in a future meeting!
Thanks to everyone that was able to attend and participate in a fun, informative meeting. Happy brewing!
